From COLLEGE BOARD March 2020

March and May SAT Administrations

In response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19), College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled.

Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds.

In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers.

Future Testing Opportunities

College Board will provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as possible in place of canceled administrations. We’ll be as flexible as possible to give students the best chance to show their skills and stay on the path to college.

We have not yet canceled the June 6, 2020 SAT administration and will continue to assess its status, with the health and safety of students and educators as our top priority. We are also exploring the possibility of adding an international SAT administration later this school year.

College Board is working with local partners, and we’ll soon share information about weekday school-based SAT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 administrations scheduled for this spring.

Resources and Support

To help students keep their college readiness skills sharp when many schools are closed, College Board and Khan Academy will continue to provide free resources online, including full-length practice tests and personalized learning tools.

Together with our member schools and colleges, we will be flexible, thoughtful, and collaborative in exploring ways to continue to support student learning and provide opportunities to test during this challenging time.

Our focus will remain on student safety and during this challenging time, we’re ensuring students have the tools they need and opportunities to receive the credit they’ve earned.

Please check this page regularly for updates.

If you have questions or concerns about your scheduled testing with College Board programs, please contact us as soon as possible. Given the high volume of inquiries, wait times may be longer than normal.

PSAT/NMSQT

OCT 2019 PSAT TEST RESULTS AVAILABLE NOW

How to Get Your PSAT/NMSQT Scores

Your PSAT/NMSQT scores will be ready online in mid December. An email will be sent from College Board to the email address you, the student, provided on your test answer sheet. The email gives instructions on creating your College Board account, going to your online score report, gives you your access code and how you use it to view your scores.  If you do not receive an email from College Board and would like to get your access code, please email Mrs. Fessenden at bfessenden@puhsd.k12.ca.us from your pushd email account.  You could also come see her in the Del Oro Counseling office for the access code or to pick up a paper copy of the results.

The Practice SAT (PSAT) is offered in October. This is the primary test date set by College Board for the nation.

The test is offered to freshman, sophomores and juniors. We highly recommend that juniors take the PSAT/NMSQT. Junior year is the only opportunity students have to qualify for the Nationl Merit Scholarship, based on there PSAT/NMSQT scores.

There are a limited number of tests available and registration is first come/first serve basis. When available students can go to the webstore and pay for the exam online. Students will take the test in the morning and continue with their school day when the exam ends.

What to bring:
  • Number 2 pencils
  • An approved calculator (we don't provide extra calculators)
  • Your home address (you'd be surprised how many students don't know their complete address, including zip code)
  • It can get cool in the gym and theater, so make sure to dress in layers.

Students will receive an email (that they listed on the PSAT/NMSQT) to access to their scores sometime in December. If you don't receive an email, contact Mrs. Fessenden in the Student Services Counseling Office at Del Oro by emailing her at bfessenden@puhsd.k12.ca.us for assistance. Once you receive your scores, use the link below to set up an individualized SAT Test Prep plan through Khan Academy.
