  Why become a Sierra Promise student: 

  • Meet with a Transitions Counselor and Enrollment Specialist on Del Oro's campus for help with the enrollment process.
  • Receive priority registration for your first semester

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Sierra Promise partner high school
  • Apply to Sierra College, complete Career and Academic Planning worksheets, meet with Transitions Counselor to complete your first years education plan.
  • Enroll full-time (30 total units in an academic year) or maximum shown on your student education plan
  • Completion of FAFSA or California Dream Act Application is strongly recommended to receive Two Years Free.

TWO YEARS FREE
Two Years Free provides free tuition to first time students who are California residents. See how you can qualify.

  • First-time students coming directly from high school, or students who never attempted college units (college credit earned in high school does not affect your eligibility for Two Years Free).
  • Enroll full-time in fall and spring (12 units required, 15 recommended).
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Act application for all required years. This is to allow the financial aid office to verify eligibility for any other financial aid first.  There is not income requirement or restrictions for Two Years Free.
