About Mr. Russo

In my classroom, "there are no wrong predictions, only information we have yet to discover."  

I have been teaching Biology in high schools in the Sacramento since 2008.  Before teaching I worked in public and private aquariums all over the world caring for fish and other marine animals.  Ask me about the time I was bitten by a shark!  I am a proud graduate of UC Santa Cruz - Go Banana Slugs - with a degree in marine biology.  

I have a passion for the biological sciences, especially marine biology and conservation issues.  My ultimate goal is to engage my students in critical thinking and promote problem solving around themes of global warming, plastic pollution and biotech.  We are all scientists and I hope to foster that curiosity and discovery in my students!
